Anne Ryder was born and raised in Illinois, just outside of Chicago. She moved East as a teenager to attend preparatory/boarding school in Connecticut. Anne graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2001. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from New York University, with a focus on pediatrics.
Anne began her nursing career in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she was a staff nurse in a small hospital, responsible for patients of all ages and with all kinds of diagnoses. From Wyoming, Anne moved to New York City, where she worked at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan. There she was a staff nurse in pediatrics and pediatric ICU, and often worked in the neonatal ICU. While working on her Masters degree, Anne worked in the emergency department of Montefiore Children's Hospital in the Bronx, as well as in a pediatric clinic at North Central Bronx Hospital.
Anne moved to Boston in the summer of 2008 with her husband and their chocolate lab. She joined Hyde Park Pediatrics in December 2008. Anne enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and doing pretty much anything active outdoors- golf, skiing, tennis, running, and hiking.

Personal statement
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be in the health care field and work with children. What drew me to primary care is having the chance to develop relationships with families and watching children grow up. I have absolutely loved practicing as a nurse and I am so thrilled to now be working as a nurse practitioner. I feel so lucky to have a job that I love. |
